Through EdEnhance, I want to reach out to every school in India with the benefits of purposeful doodling that can be a huge asset in education. I call it DOODLE4EDUCATION. Our education system caters to learners who are have a strong ability to learn text. These learners score grades and are toppers. Our visual learners are usually termed as dreamers or scribblers who find it too much to absorb to much information at one time. Be it any subject or grade, if we allow our students to explore the visual channel of learning, they will be able to learn concepts and retain learning easily.
The Visual Thinkers’ Club was introduced in Dec 2020 keeping in mind the need of introducing purposeful Doodling into Education. I realised that if students needed to be helped the first step was to empower educators and give them the confidence and the skill to launch doodle4education in their classrooms. Through EdEnhance, all educators meet up twice or thrice a month, to collaborate, contribute their talents and to grow together in learning a skill thereby throwing away all inhibitions towards simple sketching or doodling.

What is visual representation?Visual representation is an ancient skill that has stood the test of time.More than 50% of our daily communication is through visuals…emojis, stickers, gifs and so on. Yet, most of our classroom instructions are following a traditional approach. How do we lead our learners to visualize and tap lateral thinking? How do we create visual metaphors? How do we enhance their reading skills?Let us explore instructional strategies that teachers can use in their LANGUAGE CLASSROOM.
